 Lisa and Seth Gortenburg announce the bat mitzvah of their daughter, Ava Isabella Gortenburg, on October 29 at Kehilath Israel.

 Stefanie Williams and Ryan Williams announce the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, Ayla Liana Williams, on October 2 at Congregation Beth Shalom. She is the sister of Amos Williams and is the granddaughter of Arlene and Jeff Misler, and Christy and Ronnie Williams, of Alva, FL. She is the great granddaughter of Gigi Betty Misler, of Cary, NC.

Adam Cohen and Kathy Bigelow announce the B’nai Mitzvah of their children, Celia Helene Cohen and Eli Joseph Cohen, on October 2 at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. Celia and Eli are the siblings of Miles Edward.

Steve and Beatrice Fine announce the Bar Mitzvah of their son Eric Jacob Fine at Congregation Beth Shalom. The Bar Mitzvah will be on October 16. Eric is the grandson of the late Leona Cohn and Barbara and Eric Ellis, his namesake. He has a brother, Benjamin.

 Mia and Adam Feldman announce the Bar Mitzvah of their son, Brody Alexander Feldman, on October 16 at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. Brody has two siblings: Sydney (11) and Chloe (9). He is the grandson of Dr. Mark and Diane Davidner and Dr. Robert and Vicki Feldman.

Jackie and Keith Arlotti are pleased to announce that their daughter, Taryn Arlotti, will become a Bat Mitzvah during the morning service at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah on Saturday, September 18, 2021. An 8th grader at Frontier Trail Middle School, Taryn participates in BBYO Connect, Kesher, and is a Madricha at B’nai Jehudah Religious School. She plays baseball, basketball, is in cross country and track, and is a web leader at her school. She plays the trumpet and shofar, and loves to read Stephen King novels and play Fortnight on Xbox. For her mitzvah project, Taryn raised $500 to assemble “Happy Kits” for Children’s Mercy Hospital. The kits have books, games, and other fun items to help young patients enjoy a little happiness while in the hospital.

Benjamin (Ben) Rosenthal is the son of Janna and Daniel Rosenthal. He has an older sister, Emma. He is the grandson of Susan and Ernest Rosenthal of Overland Park, Kansas, Susan and Kenneth Cohn of Arlington, Virginia, and Theresa and William Schuster of Aiken, South Carolina. 

Jennifer and Jeff Burns announce the b’nai mitzvah of their sons, Thomas Jeffrey Burns and Andrew Donald Burns, on Sept. 4, 2021, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.

Thomas and Andrew are the grandsons of Ann and Dennis Burns, and Harriet and the late Don Boresow. Their siblings are: Sydney, Anna, Taylor, Ryan, Daniel, Matthew, Sam and Mark.

Both boys enjoy running, soccer, basketball, baseball and golf. They are both Boy Scouts and enjoy hiking and camping. The boys did a one-day summer camp for young kids to raise money for Harvesters.
