Lyla Horwitz, daughter of Greg and Colleen Horwitz, will become a bat mitzvah on Saturday, Aug. 26, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.
Lyla is starting seventh grade at Discovery Middle School in Liberty, Missouri. Her passions include math, science, playing percussion in her school band and devoting her time to competitive dance.
For her mitzvah project, Lyla volunteered at Hillcrest Hope, an organization dedicated to ending homelessness.
