Jacob Benjamin Sosland, son of Rachel and David Sosland, will become a bar mitzvah on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel.
The family are members of Congregation Beth Shalom.
Jake is the grandson of Sharon and Stuart Pase and Blanche and Neil Sosland. He has three siblings, Ethan (17), Gabrielle (15) and Juliet (9) Sosland, and is a seventh grader at Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy.
Some of Jake’s hobbies include playing basketball, soccer, baseball and flag football. He enjoys spending time with his friends and family, as well as gaming, movies and traveling.
For his mitzvah project, Jake is helping the Kansas City Girls Preparatory Academy by collecting and funding sports equipment for their physical education program.
Relatives and friends are invited to worship with the family at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel and to attend the Kiddush luncheon following the service.
