Zach Wieland, son of Jeff and Jennifer Wieland, will become a bar mitzvah on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.
Zach is the grandson of Gordon and Linda Bowen of Temecula, California, and Ed and Linda Wieland of Grand Junction, Colorado.
Having just completed seventh grade at Monticello Trails Middle School in Shawnee, Kansas, Zach participated on the cross-country and basketball teams. He also plays club soccer and basketball, and he participates in KesherKC with Jewish Family Services.
For his mitzvah project, Zach made fleece blankets to donate to Project Linus of Greater Kansas City to be donated to children who are ill or in need.
