Logan McNay, son of Dawn Gale and Doug McNay, will become a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Aug. 12, at Congregation Beth Shalom.
Logan is the grandson of Bob and Barbi McNay and Marshall and Pam Gale (z”l), all of Overland Park, Kansas. He is the brother of Nina McNay.
As a student at Oxford Middle School, he performed in the school musical, serves on the student council and is a member of the school’s newspaper, show choir, Community Service Club, Johnson County Youth Court and Sources of Strength.
Some of Logan’s passions include taekwondo (as a second-degree black belt), piano and voice lessons, musical theater and performing in theater camps and classes.
For his mitzvah project, Logan sold snacks at Beth Shalom’s Polsky Religious School to raise money for the synagogue’s Sasone fund. He will also serve as a peer mentor at his school in the coming year.
