David J. Segelstein passed away on the morning of October 16, 2021, in Boynton Beach, Florida. David graduated from Southwest High School in 1967.
Arnold “Arnie” Bruce Gopman was born January 17, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Rose and Norman.
Julie Gerson passed away peacefully on September 18 surrounded by her adoring family. “Grandee,” as she was known by her grandchildren, was born to Sally and Jack (Babe) Lapin, December 5, 1936, in Kansas City. Julie was so fortunate to have grown up surrounded by a loving family, including her brother Edward and many friends. “Jules,” as affectionately known by her friends, maintained many of these same lifelong relationships.
Anyone who knew him always came away feeling happier spending time with him. He was a favorite among caregivers, waitresses and new acquaintances at Brookdale Overland Park. Warner Bergh was someone you wanted to be around thanks to his infectious optimism, warm smile and wit.

Ila “Tootie” Brown, 95, of Overland Park, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Tootie was born August 24, 1925 in Fremont, Nebraska, to the late Minnie and Joseph Monovitz.
Marjorie P. Lipsky, 98, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at her daughter’s house in Overland Park, KS. It had been her home since last summer, giving her the opportunity to be surrounded by her family and able to visit with them every day, which was appropriate and natural as her family was the focus of her life, including her beloved husband, Gene, who passed away in 2012.

Igor was born in Russia in 1974 to Roman and Svetlana Sorkin. He was an amazing father, a beloved husband, a thoughtful son, a caring uncle, and a dear friend to many.

Annette Siegel, 88, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, August 14th, 2021.
Annette was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and moved to Overland Park, Kansas in 1976. She was a longtime member of The Temple, Congregation, B’nai Jehudah and was vice president of B’nai Brith Women. She volunteered at Menorah Medical Center and Harvesters Community Food Network. She was passionate about politics and ran the Democratic headquarters in Minneapolis.
Taisa Simon died August 15, 2021, in Overland Park, KS, at age 92.
Taisa was born April 14, 1929 in Gorky, Russia. There she met her first husband, Benjamin Sukiennik, who had fled from Poland and the Nazis with part of his family. In 1947 they returned briefly to Poland, lived as displaced people in Sweden for five years, and thanks to President Truman, were able to move to America in 1953.
