Marlene Francene Molos, 86, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022, at Village Shalom.
Graveside funeral services were held on April 28, 2022, at Sheffield Cemetery, 6200 Wilson Rd., Kansas City, MO 64123. Shiva services were held at 11200 Brookwood Ave., Leawood, KS 66211, on Thursday April 28, 2022. Marlene was born October 23, 1935, to the late Joseph and Edith Penner, in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Paseo High School. She married the late Sanford Jack Molos and was a lifelong Kansas City area resident. She was preceded in death by her brother Bernard Penner.
Marlene was a homemaker and enjoyed playing mahjong, shopping and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was an active member of Congregation Beth Shalom and its Sisterhood. She loved to travel and made many trips to Florida to visit her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Mark Molos M.D. and Diane Kelly of Leawood, Kansas; her daughter and son-in-law Shelly and Cary Kingsberg of Plantation, Florida; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Marilyn and Sidney Joseph of Chesterfield, Missouri; eight grandchildren: Lauren Sone (Justin), Zach Kingsberg (Sarah), Chase Kingsberg, Saige Leto (Nick), Cole Kingsberg and Scott Molos (Jenny), Heidi and Matt Molos; and five great grandchildren. Marlene will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
