Carol Ann “Mrs. Chana” Planzer Weinstock, 81, passed away September 5 at her daughter's home in Israel. She was a Judaic teacher in Kansas City for 44 years. She volunteered for the sisterhood of Congregation Beth Israel Abraham and Voliner and headed the Chevra Kadisha (Jewish burial society) for 14 years. She was a member of BIAV and the Chabad House. She was very involved in the community at large.

Marjorie P. Lipsky, 98, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at her daughter’s house in Overland Park, KS. It had been her home since last summer, giving her the opportunity to be surrounded by her family and able to visit with them every day, which was appropriate and natural as her family was the focus of her life, including her beloved husband, Gene, who passed away in 2012.

Annette Siegel, 88, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, August 14th, 2021.

Annette was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and moved to Overland Park, Kansas in 1976. She was a longtime member of The Temple, Congregation, B’nai Jehudah and was vice president of B’nai Brith Women. She volunteered at Menorah Medical Center and Harvesters Community Food Network. She was passionate about politics and ran the Democratic headquarters in Minneapolis.
