Dvorah Arbisser passed away on May 6, 2021 at the age of 94, having lived a fulfilling life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a teacher who taught Hebrew to hundreds of students and trained dozens of teachers to follow in her footsteps.
Edward Earl Haith, M.D., FACS. Born Dec. 2, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri. Parents, the late William and Ruth (Stein) Haith. He passed away May 7, 2021 at Menorah Medical Center surrounded by his children and grandchildren who loved him dearly. Their “Poppy” was the light of their life and they looked to him for guidance and support. He knew on the first date with Rickie Schere, that she was the girl he would marry. They had a loving and devoted marriage for 62 years.
Bernie Jacobson was born on Aug. 14, 1940. His proud parents were Paul and Frieda Jacobson. He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and liked to say he grew up playing on the rocks and cliffs that eventually became the site of Hallmark. He attended Paseo High School and joined the Coast Guard in 1959 as soon as he turned 18. He served as a hospital corpsman and left the Coast Guard in 1963. The years he spent in the service were very important to Bernie and he was so proud to have served his country.
Joyce Valerie Rose passed away on Monday May 3, 2021. She was born on August 2, 1960, in Kansas City Missouri, the daughter of John and Marian Rose. She graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School.
Sandra (Sandy) E. Weinstein, 80, passed away May 3, 2021, at Sunrise of Leawood. Sandy was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Southwest High School and attended the University of Missouri. She married her high school sweetheart, Don (predeceased in 2015) in 1960.
Michael David Baruch was born to Karl and Gertrude (Kaufmann) Baruch. He grew up in St. Louis with his big brother, Bob. He took great pride in being a line judge and trainer for the United States Tennis Association, which took him all over the country.

Gertrude Epstein, born April 28, 1929, passed away peacefully at her home on April 29, 2021, surrounded by her family. Private services were held on Friday, April 30, 2021.
Leonard Arenson, 72, who owned Arenson Heating and Cooling, passed away at home on April 25, 2021. The things loved most about him were that he was funny, musical, a genealogy fanatic, and he was a strong, self-made man. He loved figuring things out.
