Toby Alana Apple and Neil Norris were married May 21 in an intimate ceremony at the bride’s parents’ home in Prairie Village.

The bride is the daughter of Helen and Stewart Farbman and the late Donald Apple and the granddaughter of the late Lily and Herman Cahn, survivors of the Holocaust, and the late Ruth and Dave Apple of Seattle.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Norris of Phoenix.

After a honeymoon in Italy, the couple reside in Prairie Village.

Helen and Stewart Farbman announce the engagement of their daughter, Hilary Ilene Apple, to Dr. Patrick Yao, son of Catherine and Allen Yao of Potomac, Md. Hilary is also the daughter of the late Donald Apple.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Lily and Herman Cahn and the late Ruth and Dave Apple of Seattle. She is the founder and owner of Apple-A-Day Pet Care of Austin, Texas, which she continues to run from her new home in Omaha, Neb.

The future groom graduated from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and is a doctor of osteopathic medicine. He is a captain in the United States Air Force and is a first-year resident in family medicine in Omaha.

A March wedding at The Intercontinental Hotel in Kansas City is planned.

Dr. Harold Koch will celebrate his 75th birthday at Kehilath Israel Synagogue on Saturday, Nov. 26. He and his wife, Joyce, will host the Kiddush in his honor. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. No invitations have been sent.

Jean and Bob Zeldin of Overland Park announce the engagement of their daughter, Jill Rebecca, to Andrew Zachary Miller, son of Meryl Miller-Talbert of Riverside, Calif., and the late Dr. Alan Miller.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Marian Grossman and the late Jerome Grossman and Sarah Zeldin and the late Hyman Zeldin. She graduated from the Jerome Fisher Joint Degree Program in Management and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and earned her master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Currently the director of strategic planning for the United States Olympic Committee and president of the Partnership for Clean Competition, she will soon begin a new position as chief operating officer for Breakthrough Charter Schools in Cleveland.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of the late Ruth and Harry Adelman and the late Leona and Irving Miller. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, where he spent four years as a pitcher for the Cal baseball team, and received his law degree and master’s degree in business administration from the Northwestern School of Law and Kellogg School of Management. He is currently assistant to the president for the Cleveland Indians.

Jill and Andrew will be married on Feb. 4, at Oakwood Country Club in Kansas City, Mo.

Rita and Gilbert Kahn will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 11, 2011. They were married on November 11, 1951, at the Ambassador Hotel. Rabbis Gershon Hadas and Samuel S. Mayerberg officiated. They have a son, Stuart Kahn (Elvira) and two granddaughters in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and a daughter, Sarilee (David) Singer who live in New York City.
