Jon and Cindy Orenstein of Denver announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Hoffberg Orenstein, to Jeffrey Samuel Stolper, son of Dan and Jennie Stolper of Overland Park.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Irwin and the late Rhoda Hoffberg of Denver and Babette and the late Jacques Orenstein of Oklahoma City. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University, New Orleans, with majors in Spanish and international relations. She is a member of Sigma Delta Tau sorority and an alumna of Teach for America. She is a Spanish teacher at Pleasant Ridge Middle School in the Blue Valley School District.

The future groom is the grandson of Bob and Ellie Navran of Leawood and Philip and Nancy Stolper of Muskogee, Okla. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Kansas State University with majors in accounting and finance. He is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and served as its president. He also earned a master’s degree in accounting from Kansas State University. He is a certified public accountant with CBIZ/Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C. in Leawood.

The couple met as staff members at Shwayder Camp in Idaho Springs, Colo. A summer wedding is planned.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Gloria Fry and the late Alvin Fry and Peggy Moser and Warren Moser. She attended Colorado State University, earning a degree in human development and family studies, with an emphasis on early childhood education. She is currently an educator with the North Kansas City School District in Kansas City, Mo.

The future groom is the grandson of Paul Satz and the late Esther Satz and the late Irvin and Becky Alper. He attended the University of Colorado-Boulder, earning a degree in journalism. He is currently employed in sales at New Belgium Brewing Co. of Fort Collins, Colo.

A June 23 wedding in Steamboat Springs, Colo., is planned.

The bride is the daughter of Margaret and Charles Vandenburg and Pam and Tom Mohr and the granddaughter of Margaret Spraker and Effie Mohr. The bride earned her bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She is employed as a product development specialist at Staples Promotional Products.

The groom is the son of Sally and Miles Ross and the grandson of Leonore and Jules Wagman. The groom earned his bachelor’s degree in finance at the University of Kansas and his Master’s in Business Administration in entrepreneurship and marketing at the Henry W. Bloch School of Management. He is employed as a product manager at UMB Bank in Kansas City.

The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Marissa Vann. The best men were the groom’s brothers, Benjamin Ross and Daniel Ross. Ring bearers were Hayden and Alexander Vann. Flower girls were Kendall Krichau and Mary Jane Van Dyke.

The couple reside in Kansas City, Mo.
