Jon and Cindy Orenstein of Denver announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Hoffberg Orenstein, to Jeffrey Samuel Stolper, son of Dan and Jennie Stolper of Overland Park.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Irwin and the late Rhoda Hoffberg of Denver and Babette and the late Jacques Orenstein of Oklahoma City. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University, New Orleans, with majors in Spanish and international relations. She is a member of Sigma Delta Tau sorority and an alumna of Teach for America. She is a Spanish teacher at Pleasant Ridge Middle School in the Blue Valley School District.

The future groom is the grandson of Bob and Ellie Navran of Leawood and Philip and Nancy Stolper of Muskogee, Okla. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Kansas State University with majors in accounting and finance. He is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and served as its president. He also earned a master’s degree in accounting from Kansas State University. He is a certified public accountant with CBIZ/Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C. in Leawood.

The couple met as staff members at Shwayder Camp in Idaho Springs, Colo. A summer wedding is planned.

Dr. Martin and Meggin Emert announce the Bar Mitzvah of their son, Dylan Benjamin, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Congregation Beth Torah. Dylan is the grandson of Harvey and Gail Emert of Boca Raton, Fla., Susan and Robert Underhill of Cleveland and the late Bruce Myhre. Richard and Connie Simon announce the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, Eliana Belle Simon, at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at the White Theatre on the Jewish Community Campus. Eliana is the granddaughter of Berenice and Roger Haberman and Betty and Don Siegel of St. Louis. Relatives and friends are invited to worship with the family and to attend the Kiddush luncheon following the service.

Jocelyn and John Fry of Leawood announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Ruth Fry, to Adam Gregory Satz, son of Carolyn and Larry Satz of St. Louis.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Gloria Fry and the late Alvin Fry and Peggy Moser and Warren Moser. She attended Colorado State University, earning a degree in human development and family studies, with an emphasis on early childhood education. She is currently an educator with the North Kansas City School District in Kansas City, Mo.

The future groom is the grandson of Paul Satz and the late Esther Satz and the late Irvin and Becky Alper. He attended the University of Colorado-Boulder, earning a degree in journalism. He is currently employed in sales at New Belgium Brewing Co. of Fort Collins, Colo.

A June 23 wedding in Steamboat Springs, Colo., is planned.

Leslie Mark and Mark Eisemann announce the Bar Mitzvah of their son, Joshua Dean Eisemann, at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Congregation Beth Shalom. Josh is the grandson of Dr. Gustave and Elinore Eisemann, Mission Hills, and the late Ambassador David Mark and Elisabeth Lewis Mark. Jim and Margie Stark of Olathe announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda (Mandy) Stark, to Brian Tosh, son of Randy and Deb Tosh of Olathe.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Anita and the late Walter M. Loeb of Overland Park and Charles “Ben” and the late Avalee Stark of Mound City, Kan. She attended Kansas State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural communications and journalism. She is a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and is currently marketing and outreach specialist with the City of Lenexa.

The future groom is the grandson of Peggy and the late Edward “Jerry” Sayles of Meridian, Kan., and Barbara and Don Tosh of Valley Falls, Kan. He attended Kansas State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations. He is a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity and is currently employed as marketing coordinator for eSolutions in Olathe.

A July 28 wedding at the Hobbs Building in Kansas City, Mo., is planned.

Ashley Clare Mohr and Nathan Joseph Ross were married Nov. 12 at The Marriott Hotel, Country Club Plaza.

The bride is the daughter of Margaret and Charles Vandenburg and Pam and Tom Mohr and the granddaughter of Margaret Spraker and Effie Mohr. The bride earned her bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She is employed as a product development specialist at Staples Promotional Products.

The groom is the son of Sally and Miles Ross and the grandson of Leonore and Jules Wagman. The groom earned his bachelor’s degree in finance at the University of Kansas and his Master’s in Business Administration in entrepreneurship and marketing at the Henry W. Bloch School of Management. He is employed as a product manager at UMB Bank in Kansas City.

The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Marissa Vann. The best men were the groom’s brothers, Benjamin Ross and Daniel Ross. Ring bearers were Hayden and Alexander Vann. Flower girls were Kendall Krichau and Mary Jane Van Dyke.

The couple reside in Kansas City, Mo.

Darcy and Jay Goodbinder announce the birth Monday, Jan. 2, of a son, Gabriel Yehudah. He is the grandson of Patti Kroll and Susan and Charles Goodbinder. The great-grandmother is Toby Simon.

Rabbi Berel and Chanie Sosover announce the birth Jan. 5 of twin girls, Clara and Golda. They are also the parents of Etty, Sruly and Menachem. Grandparents are Moshe Shagalow and Esther Sosover of Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
