Emily Rachel Hirsekorn and Michael Davidson Engagement

Howard and Lynda Hirsekorn of Lenexa announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Rachel Hirsekorn, to Michael Davidson, son of Ted and Maradi Davidson of Yorba Linda, Calif.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Henry and Louise Hirsekorn and the late Sheldon and JoAnn Hollub. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Kansas and a juris doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. She is currently employed as an education attorney at the law firm of Dannis Woliver Kelley in San Diego.

The future groom is the grandson of Betty Downing and the late Ken Downing and the late Don and Helen Davidson. He attended the University of Redlands in Southern California, earning a bachelor’s degree in creative writing. He is currently employed as an associate broker in the construction division of Alliant Insurance Services in San Diego.

An Aug. 4 wedding at the El Cortez Hotel in San Diego is planned.

Illay Dvoretz

Debby and Yoram Dvoretz announce the Bar Mitzvah of their son, Illay, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Torah Learning Center. Illay is the grandson of Avraham and Estella Sandberg and Guta Dvoretz, both from Batyam, Israel. Illay will read from the Torah and receive his aliyah at 11:30 a.m. There will be a catered lunch following the service.

 

Aviva Molotsky and Etai Sooliman Engagement

Alan and Alison Molotsky of Skokie, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Aviva Molotsky, to Etai Sooliman, son of Dina and Yossi Sooliman of Raanana, Israel.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Jean and Michael Best and Leona Molotsky and the late Dr. Hyman Molotsky of Chicago. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Elk and Anna Rose Peltzman of Kansas City. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park. She is currently employed as a mechanical engineer in Washington, D.C.

The future groom is also a mechanical engineer.

The couple will marry sometime in January.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Jerry and Joyce Martin of St. Louis Park and Margie Friedland of St. Paul, Minn. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biopsychology from Tufts University and her juris doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law. She is employed as an attorney with the Dorsey & Whitney law firm in Minneapolis.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Marsha and Jules Goldman of Kansas City, Mo., the late Dorothy Bodker of Prairie Village and Stanley and Barbie Bodker of Phoenix. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Southern California and is a candidate for a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Minnesota and is employed as a psychology intern at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System.

An April 21 wedding is planned at Bet Shalom Congregation in Minnetonka, Minn.

Lesley Covitz Fulton and Matthew Fulton of New York City announce the birth July 4 of their son, Riley Sylvester Fulton. Grandparents are Mary Covitz and the late Ricky Covitz of Overland Park and Geraldine Fulton of Mentor, Ohio. At his Brit Milah, Riley was given the Hebrew name of Yitzchak Yaakov, honoring his grandfather Ricky Covitz, of blessed memory.
