She attended Ball State University where she graduated magna cum laude in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and DePaul University where she earned a master’s degree in public administration in 2010. She is currently employed as a Colorado development director for the non-profit organization “Share Our Strength.”

The future groom is the grandson of the late Bess and Sam Fiszel of Chesterfield, Mo., and Fred and the late Joyce Westfield of Nashville. He graduated from Blue Valley North High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2005. He is currently employed as a quality assurance manager for Accenture.
