Debbie Bass has joined Jewish Family Services as Chief Development Officer.

This month, JFS is standing with the Alliance of Period Supplies and is trying to end period poverty.

A virtual community-wide Purim day celebration will take place Thursday, March 17, from 11 a.m. to noon.

Kosher Passover Seder meals-to-go are available for purchase this year and will be prepared by Cathy Levin of Kosher Connection.

Congregations in Kansas City’s Jewish community are helping Jewish Family Services’ Passover meal program, which aims to make sure all those who are hungry will be able to have Passover meals. 

The Jewish community is invited to a virtual briefing to hear the results of the comprehensive population and demographic study of the Kansas City Jewish community, commissioned by Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City and conducted during the spring/summer of 2021. 

The Kansas City Jewish community will have a new way to celebrate Purim this year with BELIEVE In Purim, a soccer-themed Purim event.

Once a week, Jewish students at the University of Kansas have the opportunity to attend KU Chabad’s “Lunch & Learn” on campus at the KU Memorial Union.

The pre-Passover Communitywide Service of Spiritual Renewal will take place in the social hall at Village Shalom, 5500 West 123rd Street in Overland Park, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 20.
