Congregation has raised more than $12 million to pay for construction and ongoing operating costs

Congregation Beth Shalom has exceeded its initial $12 million fundraising goal to pay for a planned sanctuary, despite a pause on the fundraiser caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jessica Rockhold, executive director of the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education, has been appointed to the Kansas Holocaust Commission by Governor Laura Kelly and serves as a co-chair of the commission.

This year’s program will take place virtually on August 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., using Zoom and a new and improved online platform. A limited number of adult and family-oriented sessions will be offered in person.
