In honor of Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month in February, Sasone is hosting an essay contest for students. Sasone (the Hebrew word for joy), a program of Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City, provides services to children with special needs in our community who are seeking a Jewish education.

With the start of a new year, what better time to develop new habits to make the best of your life! At 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, the Family Life Education Department of Jewish Family Services (JFS) is offering an online workshop, “New Year, New Habits: Exploring Self-Care Tools and Techniques.”

The White Theatre at The J is partnering with the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF), creators of the award-winning Yiddish Fiddler on the Roof, for a special livestream performance, called “Soul to Soul,” to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 18 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12 per household.
