April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month
Join The J, the Parkinson’s Foundation, Soundscaping Source and Jewish Family Services for the Fight Back Against Parkinson’s Disease Expo on April 23 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in The J’s Fitness + Sports + Aquatics lobby.
The free expo, held as part of Parkinson’s Awareness Month, is a one-stop-shop for information, education, and resources to learn about fighting the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease and to live a healthier, active, and more vibrant life.
Participants can browse tables and booths that include information on:
Parkinson’s Choir: Learn about the resources through music from Soundscaping Source and Westchester Village.
Parkinson’s Movement: Participate in a low-intensity fitness class at 10:45 am (Zoom option available upon request).
Rock Steady Boxing: Observe this unique class that has incredible results at 11:15 am (Zoom option available upon request).
Aqua Fit: Learn about the benefits of buoyancy with this fitness class.
Jewish Family Services: Hear about the resources they provide from transportation to mental health.
