The White Theatre at The J - Jewish Community Center will present the 21st annual Kansas City Jewish Film Festival (KCJFF) in a hybrid format with both virtual and in-person options. Curbside kosher holiday meals to go will be available for purchase for Rosh Hashanah catered by Kim Matsil, Kim’s Creations (pick up Sunday afternoon, September 5) and Kol Nidre catered by Cathy Levin, Kosher Connection (pick up Wednesday, September 15). The next Shabbat meal to go will be offered on October 15 and catered by Steve Ellenberg, Ellenberg Experience Catering.
Congregation has raised more than $12 million to pay for construction and ongoing operating costs
Congregation Beth Shalom has exceeded its initial $12 million fundraising goal to pay for a planned sanctuary, despite a pause on the fundraiser caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Jewish Community Relations Bureau|AJC has announced that the Rev. Thomas B. Curran, S.J., will receive the Henry W. Bloch Human Relations Award at its annual Human Relations Event on November 18. Curran is the first clergy member to receive this honor.
