Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy (HBHA) is searching for a middle and upper school Jewish studies teacher.
HBHA is the only Jewish day school in the Kansas City area and serves more than 200 students in grades K-12.
The middle and upper school Jewish studies teaching position is an opportunity to join a school that works to provide freedom for teachers to be creative and innovative with support and guidance from administrators.
HBHA is seeking applicants who are experts in Jewish texts, prayer, thought, history, and practice, and are energetic and creative Jewish leaders. The school is looking for someone who is a team player, an excellent communicator, and a reflective educator who wants to improve their practice continually. The position, HBHA says, is best suited for someone who thrives without being micromanaged while still being open to ideas from peers and administrators.
The ideal candidate for this position has three-to-five years of teaching experience and knowledge of 21st-century skills, differentiated instruction, modeling, and project-based learning. The salary range for this position is $40-$60,000, and HBHA provides a competitive benefits package.
