For more than 40 years, the Jewish Community Foundation’s Community Legacy Fund has been a source of support for local communal organizations.

While many school faculty and student organizations closed for the summer, the Chabad House at KU continued with special summer programs, hosting students for Shabbat meals, social events, weekly classes and offering mental health support.

Underprivileged children across Greater Kansas City recently received free school supplies, backpacks and clothing through the ninth annual Back to School Store organized by the local section of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW).

Don Goldman has been honored with the inaugural Shamayim Hero Award for his volunteer service to the national Jewish nonprofit, Shamayim: Jewish Animal Advocacy.

Eleven award-winning movies will be featured as part of the 22nd Kansas City Jewish Film Festival (KCJFF), presented by The Lewis and Shirley White Theatre at The Jewish Community Center (The J).
