Martin and Matilda Rosenberg of Overland Park announce the engagement of their son, Joseph Rosenberg, to Maya Tobias, daughter of Michael Tobias and Marsha Zuckerman of Pittsburgh.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Hyman Zuckerman, the late Lillian Zuckerman and the late Norman and Pearl Tobias. She attended Washington University in St. Louis, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating summa cum laude. She is currently enrolled in the full-time MBA program at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, is president of the Haas Culinary Club and on the board of the International Institute of the Bay Area.

The future groom is the grandson of Alegre Tevet and the late Albert Tevet and the late Harry and May Rosenberg. He attended Indiana University-Bloomington, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree and Washington University in St. Louis, where he received his MBA degree. He is currently an associate at Renewable Energy Trust Capital in San Francisco.

An Aug. 11 wedding at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association is planned. The couple has requested guests to wear colorful cocktail attire and there is an after party in the PAA’s bowling alley.

Cameron is the granddaughter of Dr. Jerome and Nancy Nadler and Melvin Lintz and the late Tamma Perlmutter, all of New York City.

Josephine is the granddaughter of the late Joe and Shirley Agron.

Gavriel is the grandson of Rabbi Morris Margolies, z”l, Ruth Margolies and the late Walter and Rosemary Scott.

Jake is the grandson of Susie and Jeff Cooper and Mike and Marina Sadofsky, all of Omaha, Neb. Great-grandmother is Chickie Gilinsky, Omaha.

Matthew and Tamar Pratt of Olathe announce the birth March 4 of a daughter, Sophia Rebecca. They are also the parents of 18-month old, Isaac. Grandparents are Sylvie Radvinsky and the late Israel Radvinsky of Kansas City and Marilyn Pratt of Olathe.

Tess is the granddaughter of Barbara Fromm, the late Gene Valins and the late Barbara and Kurt Gerson. She is the great-granddaughter of Dorothy Fromm.

Lisa Mallin of Evergreen, Colo., and Dana Gibson of Kansas City, Mo., announce the engagement of their son, Max Gibson, to Emily Powers, daughter of Michael and Judy Powers of Natick, Mass.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late George and Mary Lou Powers and the late Jim and Edra McDermott. She attended Dana Hall School and University of Colorado-Boulder, earning bachelor’s degrees in English and fine arts. She currently co-owns The Evergreen Gallery, in Evergreen.

The future groom is the grandson of Mel and the late Lore Mallin and the late Paul and Caryle Gibson. He attended the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, Naropa University and University of Colorado-Denver, where he is completing master’s degrees in urban and regional planning and public health.

A July 13 wedding in Salida, Colo., is planned.

Danny and Katie Boresow of Leawood announce the birth March 14 of a daughter, Stella Jane. Grandparents are Harriet and Don Boresow of Leawood and Bill and Jane Solon of Shawnee. This is the Boresow’s 51st grandchild.
