The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tivol of Kansas City, Missouri, the late Herbert Mayer Krigel and the late Dr. and Mrs. Max Berenbom. {mprestriction ids="1,3"}She attended the University of Southern California, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. Katie also completed the Honors in Multimedia Literacy program. She is a senior supervising producer at Harpo Studios in Chicago.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Loewenberg of Chicago, Mrs. Ronald Berger of Chicago and the late Mr. Ronald Berger. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Washington University in political communication and is a development associate at Magellan Development Group in Chicago.
