Jake’s grandparents are Jack and Donna Jones of Kansas City, Mo., and Mason and Marianne Kessler, also of Kansas City, Mo.
Flying home, the president of Israel, Shimon Peres, was on board the plane and spent time sitting down talking to the Kesslers, including congratulating Jake on his Bar Mitzvah. The Kesslers found Peres to be a kind, passionate and well versed man and enjoyed talking with him.
