Harold and Phyllis Hurst will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 15, with their children, Steve and Lucy Hurst, Anne and Mike Jacobs, Robert Hurst, and Susie Hurst and Daniel Sneh; grandchildren, Mindy and David Parmet, Joe Jacobs, Robyn and Seth Freiden, Jonathan and Shira Hurst-Sneh, Coby Hurst-Sneh, Josh, Rachel and Jessica Hurst; and great-grandchildren, Maya and Justin Parmet and Dylan and Kara Freiden.

Larry and Joan Levinson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 1.

In celebration of their anniversary, the couple took a cruise to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Joining them were their children and spouses, Suzy and Brian Marley, Palm Harbor, Fla., and Scott Levinson, Overland Park, along with their grandchildren, Connor and Reece Marley and Molly and Kate Levinson.

The entire family will also be in town to celebrate their 50th Anniversary.

The children of Chuck and Marsha Levey would like to announce the celebration of their parents’ 45th wedding anniversary on Sept. 8.

For 45 years, Chuck and Marsha have celebrated many happy events, including the birth of their three children, Kimberly, Kristi and Jonathan; all their weddings; and the birth of their four grandchildren, Michael, Landon, Sidney and Lacey.

Chuck and Marsha plan on many more “life celebrations” in the near future. Our parents have shown us that “love is forever.”

Steve and Linda Block of Overland Park announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara Block, to Matthew Warnock, son of Jack and Bonnie Warnock of Liberty, Mo.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Irwin and Janice Block and Dorothy Erickson and the late Dale Erickson. She attended the University of Kansas, earning a bachelor’s degree in communication studies. She is currently employed at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Fla.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Jim and Francis Warnock and the late Harry and Polina Sereda. He attended Washburn University on a golf scholarship, earning a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics. He is currently employed at the PGA TOUR in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

A spring 2014 wedding is planned in downtown Kansas City.
