Perhaps the most regrettable part of the pernicious malady is hatred. Blind, illogical, irrational hatred, not only against Trump, but against anyone who supports Trump. Anyone who agrees with Trump is to be vilified, denounced, shunned, silenced, and yes, hated. One of the most distressing aspects of TDS is that those infected with the virus usually denounce hatred of any type, oblivious to the fact that they themselves are the worst possible examples of hate-mongers.
The source of TDS is well known, and the Center for Disease Control can do nothing about it. The source is the national media — NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Tribune, the Kansas City Star, which spew out TDS venom on a daily basis, and those who refuse to find other sources of information become incurably addicted. The only thing that can be done when one encounters a TDS victim is to pat the person on the head and say, soothingly as possible, ‘there, there dear, this will all be over by the end of 2024.’
