now epidemic in Europe, South America, South Africa, the Middle East, and of course here in the United States on campuses and on the streets?
As shocking as the tweet might have been, cries of “Death to Jews,” “Slit Jews Throats,” “Back to the Ovens,” resurrecting the Blood Libel, and many more are commonplace now. In fact, we are being physically attacked on the streets, in our schools and synagogues, and elsewhere. Truthfully, some have even been killed for being Jews.
Anti-Semitism is on the rise — big time.
I would like to suggest they add a few words of disgust about these remarks and acts of violence in any future letter or article they choose to write.
When they do, we will all know that this Interfaith Council means what is says about bigotry, incitement, understanding and prejudice. Until then …
