Kampeas boasts that J Street has criticized Israeli government policies. J Street has called for U.S. pressure on Jerusalem and backed Obama’s opposition to additional sanctions on Iran; in my opinion such positions are unconscionable.
He mentions that J Street failed to back Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza. Was Kampeas ever personally subjected to continuing showers of lethal rockets? Yet other positions Kampeas seems to champion include invitations to supporters of Israel boycott, divestment and sanctions movement and criticism of Israeli supporters.
I express disappointment in The Kansas City Jewish Chronicle for its continuing applause of J Street, without provision of equal time for other opinions.

A perfect musical afternoon
On Friday afternoon, May 9, at the Jewish Community Center there was a program of great music designed for mothers in recognition of Mother’s Day. If you missed the program, I’m sorry for you. What you missed was talented professional musicians and vocal artists who rocked the afternoon away. Thanks to Michael Oshiver for his participation and organizing the event. Kudos to all the wonderful musicians for a perfect event.
