We cannot turn back the clock and current trends will, no doubt, continue. It is important, however, that we do not equate high visibility with a solid future.

Delicious kosher
We would like to compliment and commend the personnel of Rachel’s Café at Village Shalom. While previously the food was always good, the new management provided by Morrison Senior Living has taken the cuisine to the “next level!”
In speaking with them, we have found them to be receptive to suggestions. We look forward to seeing new and exciting dishes and smelling the aromas wafting from the kitchen out into the dining area.
If you have not dined at Rachel’s Café — you are missing something for your lunch! We especially like savory soups the chef creates each day! Where else in this town can you get fantastic soup freshly made for $1.69 or great chicken wings with a side dish for an extremely reasonable cost?
It’s not just the Jewish community that is impressed with Rachel’s Café. You would be surprised at the number of non-Jewish associates and vendors who look forward to meeting there for business luncheons.
On the flip side, we surely do not wish to forget to point out the hard work Ben Koppleman and his crew do at the kosher counter at Hen House! While it is not quite the same atmosphere as Rachel’s Café, Ben and his compatriots are true menchen! Anytime we have a special request or we are running late for Shabbos and need a chicken to grab-n-go, if at all possible he makes it happen — and always politely with a smile! Once in a while his tasty fried chicken is such a treat!
THANK YOU Rachel’s Café and Ben and his crew at Hen House.
May everyone in the Jewish community have a freilecha and kosher Pesach!
