World-renowned psycholinguist and developer of the Comprehension Method of second language acquisition, Harris Winitz, 92, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on May 14. 

Selma Kaufman Litwin passed away on May 8 at the age of 95.

Much loved husband, son, dad, Papa and original Chiefs fan since 1963, Dennis Eugene Wacknov passed away on May 11 from heart failure. He was 78 years old.

Thomas “Tom” Scott Morgan passed away peacefully in his sleep at age 67 on April 29, at his home in Palm Beach County, Florida.

Dr. Harriet H. Barrish, also known to many as Momma B, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on April 23. 

Lorraine Hersh, 93, of Overland Park, Kansas, peacefully passed away on April 24.

Dr. Kurt Metzl passed away on April 17 in Denver, Colorado, after a brave three-year battle with neuroendocrine cancer, weeks shy of his 90th birthday.

Patsy Dunn Shanberg died peacefully in her sleep on April 14. The story of her life — embracing ever more family and friends — is reflected in her full name: Jacquelin Noreen Patsy Breslauer Glazer Dunn Shanberg.

Stanley Goldberg, son of Joe and Eva Goldberg, was born on March 5, 1939, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He died at his home in New York City following a long illness on April 7. 

Ruth Louise Kaplan passed away at Del Mar Gardens in Overland Park, Kansas, on April 3 at the age of almost 101 years.
