Stuart Alan Traxler, 77, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 13 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Stuart was born on March 3, 1947, to Seymour and Sylvia Traxler in Kansas City, Missouri. After Stuart graduated from Southwest High School, he went on to Northwestern University to earn a degree in business and then a law degree at the University of Louisville.

Stuart worked in the insurance and banking industry and followed his passion in investing.

He was easygoing with a great sense of humor and enjoyed nothing more than hanging out with his family and friends. He became a second grandfather figure to his great nephew, Skyler.

Stuart was predeceased by his mother, Sylvia, and his father, Seymour. He is survived by his sister, Sharon Penner; brother, Mark Traxler; nephew, Jeff Penner, and his wife, Edi Penner; and great nephew, Skyler.

Graveside services were held on April 15 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Michael J. Fox foundation, (give.michaeljfox.org) or the Parkinson’s Foundation, (parkinson.org).
