Ellen Barbara Shindler (Fogel) passed away peacefully on Dec. 15.
Ellen was born on Oct. 29, 1949, in St Joseph, Missouri. She was the youngest child to her parents, Hyman Fogel and Fannie Frances (Agranoff) of St. Joseph. Ellen was laid to rest on Dec. 19, 2023, at Sheffield Cemetery, 6100 Wilson Ave, Kansas City, Missouri.
Ellen had three children: Suzanne Feldman, Jeffrey David Landie (Stephanie) and Ryan Scott Landie (Jaime). In 1984, she married the love of her life, Larry Shindler. Ellen worked at Coca-Cola, Vendo, Herman Miller and many other places over the years.
Ellen loved her family very much. She enjoyed anything that involved her kids and grandchildren. She loved to attend her grandchildren’s school and sporting events. She loved to read, go out to lunch with her friends and family, and she also really loved her trips to the casino. As much as Ellen loved her oldies music and movies, she also learned to love country music… no one saw that coming. She loved to travel to San Diego, California, to see friends and family as often as possible.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Hyman and Fannie; her brother-in-law, Joseph Brown; and many dogs that she loved like her children.
Ellen is survived by her husband of almost 40 years, Larry; sister, Rita; sons, Jeffrey and Ryan; daughter, Suzanne; four grandchildren, Zephyr, Matthew, Kylie and Weston; many nieces and nephews and countless friends.
