Judith Joyce Laserson, 82, died June 2, 2023, in Naples, Florida. She was born Feb. 7, 1941, the youngest daughter of Elery Stucker and Linnie Aultman, in Kansas City, Missouri.
She was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1959. In June 1960, she married Max Woodrow Teague and continued her education. She attended Kansas City Junior College and UMKC, earning a Bachelor of Arts in radio-TV in 1970.
After graduation, she met and married Myron (Mike) Laserson and moved to St. Louis, Missouri, still continuing her education at University of Missouri-St. Louis from 1970-1982. In 1982, she and Mike moved to New York City, where she attended yeshiva, graduating with a degree in special education, before moving to Huntington, New York, and attending Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York (earning a Master of Social Work), and Gestalt Center of Long Island (earning a psychotherapist certification). For several years, she had a solo psychotherapy practice until she and Mike retired to Naples in 2000.
Judith is survived by her husband of 52 years, Mike Laserson; her son, Jesse Jay, and his wife, Amanda; granddaughter, Sophie Amelia; grandson, Samuel Jon, all of Huntington; stepchildren, Karen of Chicago, Illinois; Alan of Vancouver, Canada; David of Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania; Kayla of India; and her sisters, Ann Canfield of Kansas City and Joanne Rice of Overland Park, Kansas.
The family will have a private memorial on Aug. 18, 2023, at Temple Beth El in Huntington.
