Timothy Wilson Finnigan, 46, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed peacefully at his home on the morning of June 11, 2023.
Tim was born Dec. 14, 1976, to Orville E. Finnigan and Susan Ann Finnigan in Olathe, Kansas. He graduated high school at St. Thomas Aquinas in 1995. He attended Johnson County Community College, and then earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Kansas. Tim married the love of his life, Erin Davis, on Nov. 6, 2011. Their son, Max, was born in October of 2012, and daughter, Zoey, was born in August of 2015.
Tim settled into a career which he enjoyed in the wholesale trucking industry, where he was uniquely skilled at establishing professional relationships that often overlapped to be personal, as well. Tim’s coworkers became his second family, and he cherished the opportunity to make a living doing something he loved.
Tim’s family was always his top priority, and he never missed a sporting event involving Max or Zoey. For recreation, he loved playing tennis and golf.
Tim was preceded in death by beloved aunts Cathy Henry, Nancy Wilson, and Carol Horwitz. He is survived by his wife, Erin; children, Max and Zoey; parents, Orville and Ann; brother, Darren Finnigan (Alexis); aunts Sally Wilson-Knight (Tom) and Mary Beth Latham (George); uncles Dennis Finnigan (Carolyn) and Michael Finnigan (Teresa); in-laws Zandy and Peggy Davis; grandmother-in-law Phyllis Davis; Lori Noorollah (Javid), Jared Davis, Elisa Davis (Megan), and nieces and nephews Livia, Oscar, Uriel, Hudson, LeeAm, Sylvia, and Callum.
Funeral services were held at Louis Memorial Chapel on June 14. Burial followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the Glioblastoma Foundation, Inc.
