Howard Kaye, 85, of Fairway, Kansas, died Saturday, May 13, at 7:09 a.m. in Arvada, Colorado.

Howard was born March 8, 1938, to the late Oscar and Henrietta Kaye, in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Shorewood High School in Milwaukee, Illinois, and received a B.S. degree in economics from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania. He married the late Diana Kaye, and later the late Ritchie Lynne. After living in New York City as a stockbroker on Wall Street, Howard moved back to Kansas City where he was a lifelong area resident for over 40 years.
Howard had a dedicated career as a financial advisor beginning with E.F. Hutton, then Merrill Lynch, Rodman & Renshaw, and RBC Dain Rauscher.
He was an active member of The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah and an avid biker and swimmer. An ardent whistler and accomplished musician, his love of music began with playing the alto saxophone being a member of the US Army band and, later in life, harmonica.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Henrietta Kaye, and brother, Ken Kaye.
He is survived by his daughters, Jenn Kaye of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Michelle Kaye of Louisville, Colorado, niece, Eva Kaye of California, and nephew, Aaron Kaye of Zurich, Switzerland.
