Tannye Shafran, 82, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at home.
Tannye was born Andrea Tannye Beckerman on Aug. 20, 1940, in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Evelyn Beckerman, and her brother, Larry Beckerman. She is survived by her husband, Malcolm, of Overland Park; son, Zachary Shafran of Leawood, Kansas; and daughter Hilary (Richard) Snow of Overland Park; grandchildren, Claire Shafran of Louisburg, Kansas; and great-granddaughter Cayden Rose Shafran, Cole Shafran of Boise, Idaho, and Camille Shafran of Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Graveside funeral services were held on March 26, 2023, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery at 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO.
The family suggest contributions be made to The Tannye Shafran Fund at The KC Ballet, KC Hospice, or to the charity of one’s choice.
