Marianne Gottlieb passed away peacefully on Dec. 2, 2022, in Dallas, Texas.
She was laid to rest on Dec. 7 at a graveside service at Blue Ridge Cemetery.
Marianne was born in Germany on Feb. 6, 1932. She met her husband, Ludwig, in Germany and were married for 42 years until his passing in 2003. Because of her husband’s career in the military, they lived in several cities throughout their marriage and eventually settled in the Dallas area.
Marianne remained in Texas and was an active member of Tiferet Israel Synagogue, where she volunteered her time on various activities. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening. She also had an affinity for stray cats and took in many of them over the years.
Marianne is survived by her three grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Deanna Rudd (Jeff); Mark Cooper of Atlanta, Georgia; David Cooper (Linda); Steve Berline; Gary Berline (Sharon) of New York; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Marianne is at peace and reunited with her beloved husband, Ludwig.
