Esther Ilene Schumann was born Aug. 29, 1935, and passed away Nov. 4, 2022.
Esther was born to immigrant parents and raised in Miami, Florida. She relocated to Kansas City in the late 1970s to take care of her parents with her four children. She was a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Esther was diagnosed with cancer in 2000 and won her battle for 22 years.
She is survived by four children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was laid to rest in a private family lot in Kansas City.
Esther always wore a honey bee broach, so in lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to her favorite charitable organization, Project Honey Bees.
