Marjorie Geneva (Stubbs) DeLeve, 81, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Aug. 10, 2022.
She was born on Feb. 21, 1941, in Whitewater, Kansas, to Wilbur G. and Geneva (Larkins) Stubbs.
Marjorie attended school in Whitewater Public Schools and graduated high school from Wellington, Kansas. She was a graduate of Johnson County Community College.
In 1967, she met and married the love of her life, Melvin M. DeLeve. They lived in Wichita, Kansas, for a short while before moving to Overland Park, Kansas.
She is survived by her stepchildren Bart (Kathie) of Kansas City, and Andrea (Mike) of Libertyville, Illinois; and four grandsons, Bryan (Nicole) DeLeve and Kevin DeLeve of Overland Park, Adam (Anna) Schaechter of Vernon Hills, Illinois, and Danny (Nicole) Schaechter of Libertyville. She also leaves six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; parents, Wilbur and Geneva Stubbs; and her brothers, Marion Stubbs and Dr. David Stubbs.
A graveside service was held on Aug. 14, 2022, at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, send donations to the American Heart Association or the Mid-America ALS Association.
