John S. Sight, 75, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
John loved spending time with his family, enjoyed cooking and was the biggest cheerleader for his grandkids’ soccer teams.
He was born March 8, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Robert Stanley and Betty (Zacharias) Sight. He grew up and spent his entire life in Kansas City.
After earning his Master of Science in Financial Services, John entered the financial service industry in the 1970s. He earned both the CLU and the ChFC designations awarded by the American College, as well as many other awards and designations as a financial advisor. Beyond his work, he served as an instructor through the Graduate School of Financial Services of the American College.
He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Joan T. Sight; his daughter, Wendy Sight and Brian Dicker; his son Jeffery Sight and wife Jody; his grandchildren Jakob and Jordan; brothers: Tommy, Robby and his wife Susan, and Danny and his wife Melynn; and his miscreant dog Jasper.
Services were held on July 14, 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
