Donald Daniel Schanker, 88, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022.
Don was born November 4, 1933, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Herman and Florence (Fishman) Schanker. Don graduated from Paseo High School and the UMKC School of Pharmacy. He owned and operated Getz Prescription Shops in Kansas City for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Barbara; sons, Sam Schanker and wife, Deborah, Steve Schanker and wife, Pinky; grandchildren, Max, Eric, Nathan and Eden; sister, Millie Okun; and nieces and nephews.
