Sara Jo Yukon, 73, of Prairie Village, Kansas, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022.
Graveside services were held March 8, 2022, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Jewish Family Services or the Heart and Stroke Association.
Sara Jo was born Feb. 19, 1949 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, to the late Max and Dorothy (Walters) Weiner.
She met and married David Yukon, and they spent 50 wonderful years together before his passing in February.
Sara Jo was a retired travel agent who loved what she did. She volunteered for The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah for years, helped with Parties for the Blind and spent many hours lovingly volunteering at Research Medical Center in the NICU, rocking the sweet babies.
Sara Jo is survived by her daughter, Stacey L. Allison and husband Calvin, and her brother, Dennis Walters of Dallas, Texas.
