Uriel Seiden, 96, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Feb. 22, 2022.
He was born Oct. 11, 1925, in Vienna, Austria.
Uri moved to the United States with his family at the age of ten. He graduated from Paseo High School and continued on to college at the University of Kansas, University of Illinois and then the University of West Virginia, where he received his engineering degree and master’s degree in math.
After his service in the United States Army, he continued his career as a structural engineer and helped create several Kansas City landmarks.
Uri is survived by his wife Marlene of 66 years; son Doug Seiden; daughter Rana Sider; grandchildren Julia Seiden, Zachary Sider, Morgan Patel, Samantha Sider; and brother Othniel Seiden.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolf and Juliette, and his son Randall Seiden.
Services were held Wednesday, Feb. 23, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 5529 Ditzler Ave. Raytown, MO.
