Roger Gregory Krantz passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of October 23, 2021, in the rehab unit at Village Shalom.
Roger was a 1968 graduate of Southwest High School where he was a member of Sigma Gamma Phi fraternity. He then attended Mizzou, where he was a proud member of both Sigma Alpha Mu and Pi Xi fraternities.
After college, Roger went into the travel business, where he mostly worked as a tour director escorting deluxe group tours all over the world. He later worked as an executive for several travel organizations and, at times, as a travel consultant.
Roger was an avid skier, loved sports, and followed and passionately rooted for the Royals, Mizzou, and whoever was playing KU.
Roger was predeceased by his parents Manuel Krantz and Ruby Stolov Krantz. He is survived by his brother, Bryan D. Krantz, his loving aunts, uncles, and cousins from both the Krantz and Stolov sides of the family as well as by more friends than most people could imagine. His warmth, good humor, and kindness will be missed by all privileged enough to have known him.
Graveside services were held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
For those so inclined, memorial contributions to the TAP Fund, c/o Village Shalom, 5500 W. 123 Street, Overland Park, KS 66209.
