Sandra (Sandy) E. Weinstein, 80, passed away May 3, 2021, at Sunrise of Leawood. Sandy was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Southwest High School and attended the University of Missouri. She married her high school sweetheart, Don (predeceased in 2015) in 1960.
Sandy was a lifelong lover of shopping and eventually made retail sales her career. She had a long run as a top sales pro at Adlers, Kay’s Fashions and Dillards. She was a member of B’nai B’rith and Kehilath Israel Sisterhood. Sandy loved music (even though she declared herself tone deaf) and so enjoyed being part of that world through producing B’nai B’rith Kiddie Kapers for many years and watching her daughter perform.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband Don; parents, Meyer and Ida Schifman and in-laws Harry and Dorothy Weinstein. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Malcy (Steve); son Steve; and six grandchildren, Allison Malcy, Jacob, Jesse, Hannah, Ava and Mia Weinstein; Brothers: Bob (Madeline), Harvey and Joe (Carole) Schifman. Special Cousin: Phyllis (Maury) Kohn and Brother-in law Bob (Sandy) Weinstein.

Services were held at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery on May 6, 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
