Louis Bordman passed away peacefully on March 18, 2021.

He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, where he grew up and spent his life. He was a graduate of Paseo High School and received an undergraduate degree from UMKC. He served his country in the Army and shortly after married the love of his life, Janet. They were married 55 years and had two children, Steve and Wendy.

His other love was the stock market and he was able to work as a trader for the majority of his life, even up to the day he passed away. His devotion to his customers was a driving force in his life. He played in a running poker game that met weekly for over 50 years with lifelong friends that he thought of as brothers. He was a kind and gentle man who was dedicated to his family and friends and never had an unkind word to say. He was loved by many and will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his wife Janet Bordman. He is survived by his sister, Marcia Bordman; children, Steve and Danielle Bordman, Wendy and Charlie Spiegel; and five grandchildren, Taylor, Erin, Ashley, Zachary and Dempsey.

Private services were held Sunday, March 21. In lieu of flowers, donations to KU Hillel or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
