Dorothy Bronfman, 89, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2021. A private family graveside was to be held at Rose Hill Cemetery on Wednesday, March 17. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Heritage Center at The Jewish Community Center.
Dorothy was born June 30, 1931, in Kansas City to the late Louis and Elizabeth Rosenblum. On Feb. 24, 1952, she married Daniel Bronfman and together they spent 46 years happily married.
Dorothy’s greatest accomplishment in life was her family. She was very proud of them and supported them in their ventures. Dorothy enjoyed traveling, painting, “junking” and water aerobics at The J with her friends.
Dorothy worked as a secretary for the GSA for over 20 years before becoming self-employed working with Daniel’s business.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel; sons, Bruce Bronfman and Leonard Bronfman; and grandson, Scott Bronfman.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Terri Meyer and husband Fred; daughter-in-law, Pat Bronfman; brother, Stan Rosenblum and wife Norine; sister, Marian Dalton; grandchildren, Jessica Bresnahan and husband Mark, Stephani Meyer-Williams, Heather Bronfman, Rachel Larson and husband Joe, Elizabeth Greer and husband Chris; and great-grandchildren, Mila and Sloane Williams, Anthony Sapp, Sophia and Giana Morris and Vivian and Griffin Greer.
