Anne Lynne Bronfman Mandelbaum, Jan. 20, 1936 to Dec. 7, 2020, always said that she read the obituaries every day and if she didn’t see her name, she knew it was going to be a good day. Unfortunately . . .

Anne Lynne entered this world on a Monday in 1936 and slipped away from it on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, or as Uncle Larry would say, 31,003 days later.

Anne Lynne graduated from Central High School and the University of Missouri at Kansas City. After her three children were all in school, Anne Lynne enjoyed a long and storied career as a teacher of English and Latin at Southeast High School and then as a librarian at the Red Bridge branch of the Mid-Continent Public Library. She particularly loved reading and teaching her grandchildren (or any other nearby child) to read.

Anne Lynne was a fabulous cook and loved to feed all comers for as long as anyone can remember. There was always room for one more guest at her table. The world is loaded with friends who might have been an inch or two shorter and 20 pounds lighter if not for her cooking when they were young.

Anne Lynne was the beloved mother of Ala (Damon) Mandelbaum-Fries of The Netherlands, David Ben Mandelbaum of Overland Park, and Michael Jay (Sarita) Mandelbaum of The Netherlands, and was the beloved sister of Alan J. (Vicki) Bronfman of Boca Raton, Florida, and Lawrence P. Bronfman of Overland Park. She will also be missed by her granddaughter Frances of Kansas City, granddaughter Aviva of Israel, grandson Ruben, also of Israel, as well as by her great-grandchildren.

Anne Lynne was preceded in death by her husband Robert Mandelbaum; her father, Samuel Bronfman, and her mother, Frances Bronfman; her sister, Ricki Bronfman; and her brother, Sanford Bronfman.
