Rabbi Stuart Ervin Davis, 87 years old, passed away at his home on Dec. 28, 2020, in Overland Park.
He was born on Oct. 29, 1933, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Stuart is survived by his spouse, Dini Davis; sons, Andrew Davis, Stephen Davis, Laurence Davis and Geoffrey Davis; and 12 grandchildren.
He was the founding rabbi of The New Reform Temple, and most recently was rabbi at Temple Sinai of Kansas City.
Stuart was a graduate of American University and Hebrew Union College.
The funeral was private to protect the safety of the community. A memorial will be held in the autumn of 2021.
