ISAAK LEUS — obituary Isaak Leus Isaak Leus, 80, of Lenexa, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2020. Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 13, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pleasant Valley, Kansas. He graduated from Georgian State Institute of Physical Culture in 1966 with a B.A. and an M.A. in physical education. He was happily married to Natalya in the year 1983. He was Natalya’s everything — husband, friend, her everyone — and she loves him very, very much. Isaak was a good husband and friend who always wanted to help others. He was known for being kind and he was very loved. Isaak was a wonderful and proud father to Dmitry, and he loved his son very much. Isaak was a passionate and respected fencing instructor until his retirement. He was A-rated (the highest) in all three weapons. He participated in the 1998 NCAA championships, 1997 North American Cups, various national championships, and refereed at the Olympic Games in Mexico, Munich and Moscow. Isaak loved and cared for three pets who were regarded as family to him and Natalya — Chunchik, his dog, and Ksyush and Vaska, his beloved cats. He is survived by his wife Natalya; son and daughter-in-law, Dmitry and Zhanna Leus, United Kingdom; and four grandchildren.
