Congregations in Kansas City’s Jewish community are helping Jewish Family Services’ Passover meal program, which aims to make sure all those who are hungry will be able to have Passover meals. 

In response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City’s board of directors on Monday approved a grant of $139,000, joining the Jewish Federations of North America’s (JFNA) $20 million emergency campaign to provide humanitarian assistance to vulnerable Jewish populations living in Ukraine.

The Jewish community is invited to a virtual briefing to hear the results of the comprehensive population and demographic study of the Kansas City Jewish community, commissioned by Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City and conducted during the spring/summer of 2021. 

The Kansas City Jewish Community Digital Archive, jewishkcarchives.org/, is launching with digital issues of The Kansas City Jewish Chronicle’s entire back catalog, plus local history video interviews — and it’s looking to the community to help it grow more. 

The Kansas City Jewish community will have a new way to celebrate Purim this year with BELIEVE In Purim, a soccer-themed Purim event.

Once a week, Jewish students at the University of Kansas have the opportunity to attend KU Chabad’s “Lunch & Learn” on campus at the KU Memorial Union.
